Tutor Power Hour - Tutor

A one to one effective literacy tutoring hour for children in grades 3-12th, focused on reading and writing with 2 children for one hour each per week. Objectives are to teach and reteach concepts and strategies for improved reading skills; to introduce quality literature: have children read to, read with and to read by themselves; and to expand opportunities for children to enjoy and love reading and writing. Must complete application process including criminal background check, and attend literacy training. College degree preferred.

Believe & Achieve Mentor

To support, motivate, and encourage students in grades 6th-12th grades to graduate from high school; create and maintain communication with a student at least twice per month; to promote youth leadership and belief in ones self. Communicate with Believe and Achieve Coordinator at least once a month, and track academic success. Must complete application process including criminal background check. College degree preferred.

Homework Help

Assist children in kindergarten through 6th grade with homework and other academic exercises to enhance academic achievement. Check for completeness, correctness, and neatness. Must complete application process including criminal background check.

Tutor Power Hour - Reading Buddy

A one to group reading hour that provides kindergarten through 2nd grade students effective tutoring focused on reading aloud, shared reading, and writing. Computer Aid

Assist, instruct, and monitor students in the usage of computers including the internet.

General Help Tutor

Assist, and instruct students with Math, Science, History, Calculus, etc:

Resource Librarian

Assist staff with books and resource materials.
